Cheese Straws

3/4 pound sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 pound butter
1 1/2 cups flour
1 rounded teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Dash of red pepper

Cream butter and cheese with hands until smooth, then work in dry ingredients until a firm dough forms. Run through star-shaped cookie press. Bake at 375* until light brown.
